Longbill este forma standard a unui vobler agresiv, de atac, care poate cobori pana la 1.5m si prin barbeta proeminenta ne ajuta sa traversam cu usurinta orice obstacol in apa. Comportamentul in repaos este de suspending (nemiscat), ceea ce inseamna ca faciliteaza suficient timp oricarui peste rapitor din zona sa atace. Aceasta caracteristica a lui Longbill este un atu pentru perioadele de primavara/toamna, cand temperatura apei este inca mica.
